Clinical Supervision & Consultation

Areas of focus include clinical assessment & diagnosis, trauma informed care, cultural humility in practice, documentation & treatment planning, ethics & professional identity, clinical confidence & case consultation, and career & private practice development.

So you've finished your MSW degree, congrats! If it is your intent to become an LCSW, there are certain requirements that are expected of you, per Texas state regulation.

​

• LMSW must secure a supervisor and complete a supervision agreement prior to engaging in any clinical level practice.​

• While under direct supervision, LMSW must obtain 100 total hours of supervision, in no less than 24 months and no longer than 48 months.

  • LMSWs working full-time, must work at least 30 hours per week, in order to complete supervision within 24 months.

  • LMSWs working part-time, must work at least 15 hours per week, in order to complete supervision within 48 months. Part-time employees will need one hour of supervision per 40 work hours (usually 2-3 supervision hours per month).​

• LMSW must obtain 3,000 total work hours prior to submission of paperwork to Texas board, in order to be eligible to sit for clinical exam.​

Individual supervision provides dedicated space to strengthen your clinical skills, explore complex cases, develop your professional identity, and receive personalized support throughout your journey toward independent licensure.

• $75 per 60-minute session

• One 60-minute individual supervision session

The Work of Heart Supervision Collective

The Work of Heart Supervision Collective is a supportive, culturally responsive space where emerging clinicians can learn, connect, and grow alongside their peers. Through collaborative case consultation, thoughtful discussion, and individualized guidance, supervisees strengthen their clinical judgment, professional identity, and confidence as they work toward independent licensure.

• $225/month

Your monthly investment includes:

• Weekly 90-minute group supervision

• One 60-minute individual supervision session each month

• Collaborative case consultation

• Documentation and treatment-planning guidance

• Support with assessment and diagnosis

• Ethical decision-making and professional development

• Trauma-informed and culturally responsive guidance

• Access to an evolving collection of clinical tools, templates, and professional-development resources

• Reasonable email support between sessions

• A small cohort limited to eight clinicians
